Agony Aunt

Dear Judith

I have to write to you about this because M & D keep laughing at me.

It’s about my tail.  You see, when I am not concentrating, it droops down about half way along.

Dad says you must have put it on upside down,  You didn’t did you?  If you did, can I come and swap it for one that points up please?

He also said that some Niagara would fix it.  At least I think that’s what he said but it makes no sense to me at all.  For a start Canada seems a long way to go when you’re just 10 minutes away in Corbridge.  And how would swimming about in that cold water help? That will just make it worse surely?

Please help,

Angus

Oh Angus! First of all, be assured you are perfect in every way.. I’m very sure of that. Do please tell M&D that a Labradors tail should not wave like a flag, as that is reserved for poodles and terriers and is a very a very bad fault in the noble labrador. However, while on the move, it should be carried, straight off the back, with the tail level with the spine ( ideally).
Now then …. this here droop .. I am assuming this is only while standing? Just checking, it isn’t a permanent droop.. as they’re is a thing called ‘cold tail’ which is very painful and often happens after swimming in cold water.
    Please advise.
    Judith xx

    Forgive corrective text ‘there’

  3. Dear Judith

Angus is very relieved as he definitely hasn’t got cold tail. And his best friend forever, Pickle’s tail does exactly the same.

He says “Phew, what a relief” as he’s grown rather attached to his tail.

  4. Phew! Tail emergency over ?
Note: ? Very bad Labrador tail ?

  5. Hi Angus, I’m Cole, one of your brothers! I just wanted to let you know that I am following your hilarious escapades and although Aunty Judith said I was the tinker of the litter, it seems to me you have just as much fun. Anyway, on the subject of tails, mine isn’t quite straight behind me like my older brother Shadow’s. Mine is kinky! The only reason I can come up with for this is that all ten of us must have been bending and squishing each others tails before we were born. There can’t have been much room in mums tummy for all ten of us! Hope you feel better knowing that we are both in the kinky tail club! Catch up soon. Love from Cole and Shadow x
