The weather’s been nice today so we (Mum, Dad and I) have been out in the garden doing some odd jobs. Very exciting.
First, Dad decided that the area where I do a certain bit of business could do with a clear up to get rid of the remnants of last year’s leaves. What fun we had! Dad used this thing called a “broom” to sweep the leaves into a pile. Then it was my turn. I did my bit by burrowing through the pile looking for things. Then Dad swept them up again. We did this a few times till Dad got tired of the game and managed to put the leaves into a tall brown bin.
But Oh MY! That broom is a fierce thing. I had no choice but to kill it.
Next we did a bit of weeding. Dad did the selective thing of pulling out pieces of grass, while I used a much more broad-brush approach with the forget-me-nots. My approach is more along the lines of “get stuck in”
After that it was time for Mum to do some watering using the hose-pipe. I thought it would be a good idea to convert the hose to a sprinkler but my attempts to do so were thwarted when Dad took the hose out of my mouth and distracted me with a large chewy bone. I’ll have to try again another day.
